When you enable <a style=\"color: #000000;\" href=\"http:\/\/fastbitlab.com\/stm32-gpio-lecture-1-gpio-pin-ports\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">GPIO port<\/a> by default, its pin will be in input mode. But if you set any pin as the output mode, then by default it will be in push-pull configuration.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"\" style=\"text-align: left; font-family: 'Roboto Slab'; font-weight: 400; font-size: 16px; line-height: 26px;\" data-font-family=\"Roboto Slab\" data-font-weight=\"400\" data-font-style=\"\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400; color: #000000;\">The name Push-pull output configuration because output will be pulled actively between low and high by using two transistors.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"\" style=\"text-align: left; font-family: 'Roboto Slab'; font-weight: 400; line-height: 26px; font-size: 16px;\" data-font-family=\"Roboto Slab\" data-font-weight=\"400\" data-font-style=\"\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400; color: #000000;\">Push-pull configuration doesn\u2019t need any pull-up\/pull-down resistor. Push-pull output uses two transistors. Each will be on to drive the output to the appropriate level.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"\" style=\"text-align: left; font-family: 'Roboto Slab'; font-weight: 400; line-height: 26px; font-size: 16px;\" data-font-family=\"Roboto Slab\" data-font-weight=\"400\" data-font-style=\"\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400; color: #000000;\">From Figure 1.
